At Schwan's, you'll use your drive and ambition to meet the needs of current customers while also securing new customers. You're in control of what you earn as a Route Sales Representative (RSR), through the earning potential of commissions. Schwan's has over 420 locations nationwide that employ Route Sales Representatives to serve our customers in their neighborhoods.

As a Route Sales Representative, you'll drive the widely recognized Schwan's truck to sell and deliver more than 300 varieties of frozen foods to families around the area. We believe in serving our customers when it's convenient for them, and many of our customers are only available in the evenings, so that's when they ask us to make deliveries. The best RSRs at Schwan's understand that this is a relationship management business. The best way for you to build relationships is to continually interact with your customers face-to-face. As an RSR, you could frequently work 12-hour days.

Preparing you for success is one of our biggest focuses. We have a structured training program to get you started. We'll also provide you with an existing customer base, additional training programs, uniform and footwear allowance, sales tools and technology, and a truck that is stocked every morning. And you'll participate in sales incentive contests to increase your earning potential.

Benefits

As an RSR, your income is dependent on how you perform in the role. Our top 10 RSRs in the nation average about $100K. Our national average is about $46K. Total compensation is a combination of:

  • Base pay
  • Commission
  • Benefits package
  • Up to 40% discount on company product

Additional requirements

We've designed our trucks so that a regular driving license is all that is required. This is a Department of Transportation role, so candidates do need to have a good driving record.

  • No more than 1 moving violation or accident in 12 months, and no more than 3 in 36 months will be accepted.
  • No serious crimes involving a motor vehicle in the past 3 years (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
  • Candidates must also hold a valid US driver's license for 12 consecutive months
